Taking the Mash House stage for only their second live performance, LaKyoto confidently gave an immersive energetic performance to a crowd captivated by each hook-driven track insistent on reciprocating their powerfully colourful stage presence.
A wall of vivid synth melodies were met with lead singer Connor’s soaring vocals and growingly interactive stage presence, this coupled with propulsive percussion from drummer Kyle matched with an ever-growing searing groove bass-line allowed the Edinburgh quartet to take command of the crowd from the outset, leaving everyone hanging on every note that left the stage.
Feeling that the crowd were suitably captivated they slipped into never-before heard tracks, gaining a sense of excitement from the crowd they went from song to song building a high-octane presence, with their energy never faltering once throughout their hour-long performance. They solidified the notion in everyone that they are a sheer force to be reckoned with.
